As promised, here’s some Behind The Scenes facts about this year’s game:
1. The game took almost 2 YEARS to make! Turns out making multiplayer work on http://google.com is hard o_o
2. The game was originally Ghost vs. Cats, asymmetrical powers and a Direct Sequel to Magic Cat Academy
3. Originally the ghosts were Orange and Blue, but we changed to Purple and Green for colorblindness They also went through LOTS of versions
4. Momo from Magic Cat Academy was ALMOST the Referee but…
5. Past Halloween Doodle stars Momo, Jinx and the Witches from World Candy Cup are appear throughout the game
6. The game had a LOT of names before The Great Ghoul Duel. PolterHeist, Spirit Scramble, Phantom Frenzy and Nocturnament were all on the list
7. There are 4 maps, and each one has a hidden room and secret passages
8. Disconnected Players were going to be the ghosts falling asleep, but this didn’t make it into the final game
9. We are totally blown away by the positive response! THANK YOU everyone for playing and supporting our silly little spooky game…still a few hours left in Halloween, so we’ll see you out in the Duel!!
